I would like to say that for a first time visitor to Uganda you don’t know what to expect and since there is nothing to compare it to i think that generally when your trip goes well with little or no hitches then it can be classified as a Great Safari experience. At Murchison Falls National you really have that sense that you are in wild Africa. Great variety of wildlife, if you use the Wangkwar Gate and the boat ride offers a good view of hippos and some crocodile.

Didn’t spot the illusive leopard so I’m a little disappointed. If you are looking for a wildlife safari experience i think you will not be disappointed.

Our Afridestiny Safaris Tour guide Jonathan was a bit late picking us from our hotel and we were initially anxious when he finally arrived and we got into the vehicle; he started by introducing himself and going through the itinerary shown us the stop overs we were going to make and even asking if we needed to drop by an ATM or shopping center.

The views on our way to Murchison falls National park was beautiful and breath taking. We stopped over for lunch in Masindi. The Nile river drops dramatically explodes in a series of wild rapids that quite a sight. Stayed at Paraa Safari Lodge for 2 Nights but wouldnt have minded staying for another night or two. This is a great safari lodge the rooms have A/C while some have fans and since it wasn’t too hot we were ok with the fan in our room.

We had heard about the boat trip and I would recommend the boat trip up the river to the foot of Murchisons falls because its an excellent wildlife viewing opportunity. We really enjoyed the game drives here with a good range of wildlife.

On your Uganda safari i would recommend going with a private tour company such as Afridestiny Safaris because you get a more personalized service and you don’t have to follow a schedule. You also get to stick to your budget rather than finding out extra costs of stuff along the way.

    Thanks Afridestiny.

    Robert
